Renault Trucks is part of the Volvo Group. Everything about this truck exudes solidity. The diesel engine is even identical to that in the Volvo FH. It is of the Turbo Compound type, an option that was introduced in 2023 and provides a fuel saving of ten percent.
This 6×2 is 52 cm longer than its 4×2 brother, and weighs 800 kg more. However, the maximum load of the fifth wheel is much higher: 17.8 instead of 11.1 tonnes. This makes it possible to tow much heavier trailers than with a 4×2. The fifth wheel is also adjustable, so that the centre of gravity of the trailer load can be moved to make maximum use of the axle capacity.
The T High has a high cabin with a flat floor and standing height for the driver. This makes it a real living space. The 6×2 is also available as a Renault T (so without High).
