JR Whiting Coldsaver — insulated roller door

Did you know that roller doors are also available in insulated versions? They are then suitable for mounting in refrigerated/freezer bodies. They are even available in various thicknesses, depending on the application. They can be used as a rear door or as a side door.

As an example, the photo here shows a cross-section of the Coldsaver from roller door manufacturer JR Whiting. The photo clearly shows how the segments of the roller door interlock. These panels have an aluminium exterior (1.8 mm thick inside and outside) and are filled with CFC-free polyurethane foam. The thickness in this case is 60 mm.

The door runs in galvanised steel rails, with stainless steel roller holders with rollers with a stainless steel axle and plastic running surface. The bottom, top and sides of the door are sealed with PVC. Because the door opens inwards, you must allow for a mounting space of 20 cm at the roof and 5 cm at the sides of the box, at the door opening.

This door, and all parts for mounting and maintenance, are supplied by Truck Door Service.
