European logistics service provider Vos Logistics is continuing its collaboration with Continental. Continental has been supporting the Dutch logistics service provider with tire management and the services of Conti360° Fleet Solutions since 2016.
Vos Logistics has extended its contract with Continental. “In order to maintain our high service level in this cost-sensitive market, the operational reliability of our vehicles is crucial,” says Pieter Derksen, Purchasing Manager at Vos Logistics. “Thanks to data-driven maintenance, our tires are always ready for use.”
Vos Logistics has experience with a wide range of customer-specific services. For example, the company handles the transport of bulk goods for deliveries to end customers. Since mid-2024, the European logistics service provider has relied on the tire management system Conti360° Fleet Solutions for its entire truck fleet of more than 1,100 vehicles. In particular, the dense workshop network of more than 7,000 Continental partners in 25 European countries ensures optimum reliability for the company’s vehicles.
In 2024, the average downtime after a flat tire in Europe was only 2.5 hours.
Vos Logistics developed a sustainability strategy back in 2010. Since then, its implementation has been continuously reviewed and adapted to the requirements of the moment. “Logistics has a major impact on the CO2 footprint of our economy,” explains Pieter Derksen. “That is why we are constantly working to improve the efficiency of our logistics processes. For example, we have been committed to integrated sustainability reporting in our annual report for years.”
Vos Logistics’ fleet and corporate structure are just as diverse as its customers’ transport needs. “Today, we transport cement, petrochemicals and bulk goods, and tomorrow one of our mega trailers will be transporting car parts and other components to their destination,” reports Pieter Derksen. Whether it concerns long-distance transport throughout Europe, regional transport in the Netherlands or small distribution transport, the logistics service provider from Oss carries out all tasks reliably and on time. The company has 2,500 employees, more than 4,000 loading units, 300,000 square meters of storage space and 35 locations in Europe.
With the Conti360° kilometer contract and reporting, Vos Logistics enjoys full cost transparency and the benefits of predictive maintenance. The carrier uses a wide range of premium tires to tailor the individual vehicles in its truck fleet to the widely varying operational requirements of regional and international transport. This enables Vos Logistics to guarantee the greatest possible operational safety, to use the entire service life of the tires and to reduce the total CO2 emissions of the vehicles. “When developing new products, we always opt for green logistics services and technologies that reduce both our CO2 emissions and our energy consumption,” adds Pieter Derksen.
In addition to the fuel-saving tires from Continental, this also includes alternative drive systems. In the Netherlands, there are already cities that can only be accessed with zero-emission vehicles. “For regional transport, ten of our vehicles now run on electricity and hydrogen.”
