The well-known Cursor 13 engine from Iveco has been further developed into a multifuel engine that can use other fuels in addition to diesel. It is given the type designation XCursor 13.
The HI-eSCR technology without EGR offers fast response and low fuel consumption, and low total cost of ownership. Thanks to the DPF with passive regeneration and the longest oil change intervals in this category of up to 150,000 km. In addition, DPF cleaning intervals of up to 600,000 km and lower oil consumption offer advantages in terms of operational availability and cost savings.
The XCursor 13 is equipped with a new air duct for lower speeds, improved combustion with a higher common rail and peak cylinder pressure, an intelligent oil and water pump and new connecting rod and crank pin materials that reduce friction. In addition, the XCursor 13 features an advanced valve mechanism and a lighter cylinder block and cylinder head. The XCursor 13 thus takes the Cursor series, introduced in 1998, to a higher level. CO2 emissions are 7% lower and the weight is 10% lighter than the previous version, with a maximum power of 600 hp and a maximum torque of 2,850 Nm.
