Krone is launching a new version of its Cool Liner refrigerated/freezer trailer. The key improvements over the previous model are the sturdier construction and improved sealing.
Like the previous version, this Cool Liner can be configured to customer requirements, including for use as a multi-temperature trailer.
The side walls and roof are still manufactured as large panels using an open-foam process. The inner lining of the side walls has been redesigned at the transition to the roof and in the highly loaded area near the floor connection. This increases structural stability.
The underbody bumper has also been redesigned. It offers greater resistance to impacts from forklifts and provides better moisture sealing.
In the rear section, local reinforcements and reinforced door hinge brackets reduce peak loads, particularly in sensitive corners. New plastic inserts improve insulation and sealing and further support the floor profile of the rear frame during frequent forklift traffic.
The floor is still produced as a single large panel using an injection molding process. A revised crossbeam design reduces tension and ensures optimal foam distribution throughout the entire floor structure.
The Krone Cool Liner can be optionally equipped with a reinforced front floor. It is also possible to equip the Cool Liner as a RoRo trailer with a reinforced center frame.
