Three-axle tractor unit (6×2 with steered leading axle) in a lowered version. Suitable for heavy volume trailers or deeploaders with a low coupling height. Thanks to a height-adjustable fifth wheel coupling, the coupling height can vary from 95 to 115 cm. Naturally, the truck has air suspension, making coupling easy and allowing for slight adjustment of the ride height. The fifth wheel coupling is also adjustable lengthwise to optimize the center of gravity. The maximum fifth wheel load is almost 17.5 tons.
The power source is Daimler’s 13-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine, which in this version produces 480 hp.
This Actros is equipped with Predictive Powertrain Control. This software ensures that the tractor unit responds to, for example, approaching a roundabout.
