With the development of the S.CS X-TOUGH curtainside trailer, Schmitz Cargobull didn’t skimp on weight — but instead focused on maximum robustness and stability. The maximum floor pressure is 9.5 tonnes, almost twice as much as a standard trailer.
The S.CS X-TOUGH is intended for sale in countries with a gross combination weight (GCW) of 44 tonnes and higher (such as the UK and the Netherlands). It features a galvanized, bolted chassis with crossmembers spaced less than 40 cm apart. The 30 mm thick plywood floor is designed for intensive transport with forklifts.
When transporting palletized goods or general cargo, the VARIOS body offers an impressively variable load volume. The body is equipped with a lifting roof with a manual stake lift. The desired body heights can be adjusted in steps. The lashing eyes in the outer frame offer flexible mounting options.
