For the first time in history, Volvo Trucks is the European market leader in the heavy-duty truck segment. In 2024, 56,331 Volvo trucks with a GVW of 16 tonnes and over were registered in Europe, achieving a market share of 17.9 percent.
The countries with the most registrations of Volvo trucks during the year were the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Poland and Spain. In the Netherlands, a market share of 22.8 percent was achieved in the heavy segment.

Globally, Volvo Trucks increased its market share in 25 countries in 2024. In Brazil, Volvo became the market leader in the heavy-duty segment for the third year in a row with a market share of 23.7 percent. The Volvo FH was the best-selling truck model of all brands in Brazil in 2024. In Australia, Volvo’s market share was 18.2 percent. In North America (USA plus Canada), Volvo Trucks had a market share of 10.5 percent (10.2 percent in 2023) – with the VNR model being very populair.
