D-TEC FV2-VAC — steered manure/residue trailer with vacuum pump. Lightweight steered trailer with pumping system.
D-TEC has developed a tank trailer for the transport of manure, food waste, and other bulk-like waste streams, equipped with a pumping system and two steered axles. This FV2-VAC complements D-TEC’s existing FV line of manure tank trailers. The semi-trailer was initially developed for the transport of waste from restaurants to biogas plants in the United Kingdom, but D-TEC will also build an EU version. The official presentation will take place in September 2026 in Hanover.
The steered/liftable axles make it possible to maneuver the trailer in hard-to-reach places, while the pumping system ensures that waste bins can be emptied on-site. The trailer can also be rinsed clean to enable multifunctional use. In addition to liquid/viscous substances, the system is also suitable for granular/hard materials such as bentonite, pebbles, or straw. It would also not be a problem if waste is mixed with metal objects, for example, a fork in food scraps.
Given the increased attention to recycling and the rise of biogas plants, D-TEC expects demand for this type of trailer to grow in the coming years. The unique steering system ensures a short turning circle, reduced tire wear (D-TEC calculates tire changes at 300,000 km instead of 120,000 km), and lower load on the loading area. Manure trailers are traditionally equipped with fixed axles and are primarily used in agricultural transport.
The trailer features a Jurop vacuum pump on the side, at eye level, making operation and maintenance simple. The tank diameter is 190 cm in the UK and 200 cm in the EU. The European version is 70 cm shorter than the UK version. This is due to regulations. Other technical details have not yet been released.
