The Kässbohrer platform semi-trailer program (K.SPS) is designed with a lightweight construction to increase payload. With a curb weight of 5,865 kg, this allows for higher payload and lower fuel consumption. The robust chassis is made of high-quality S700MC steel and complies with ISO 1726-2 and ISO 1726 standards. This guarantees optimal load distribution and excellent driving and load stability for safe and efficient transport. The chassis is triple-coated with a cathodic dip-paint and zinc phosphate treatment, ensuring 10-year corrosion protection and a long service life.
Kässbohrer has supplied a 3-axle platform semi-trailer (K.SPS 3) to Gebr. Markewitsch GmbH from Nuremberg, Germany. This vehicle features high-strength and flexible load securing, suitable for concentrated, wide, and mixed loads and their combinations. The combined use of stanchion holes, floor and side tie rings, and the patented K-Fix system allows operators to adapt the load securing within the same vehicle to various load types and loading situations.
For this delivery, the platform is equipped with 10×2 stanchion holes integrated into the side beams, combined with a multi-row stanchion arrangement, providing multiple robust tie-down points along the platform. These stanchions allow for the securing of construction machinery, steel structures, and precast concrete elements that require lateral support and controlled positioning. Floor tie rings with a capacity of up to 5 tons provide stable anchoring for concentrated loads such as machine bases and compact, heavy components, while side tie rings enable the securing of wide loads across the entire platform width.
The patented K-Fix load securing system offers flexible securing positions for palletized goods and mixed load combinations, maximizing the platform trailer’s payload for optimal operational efficiency.
