High-quality, electrically operated bumper bar for the rear of trucks, manufactured by Pommier from France. The main difference compared to most extendable bumpers: the E-Xpand P33 operates electrically instead of hydraulically. This offers assembly advantages for the bodybuilder (faster to install) and ensures greater operational reliability for the end user.
Furthermore, this new E-Xpand series comes partially pre-assembled out of the box and has fewer separate body parts. Thanks to the electric operation with two actuators, hydraulics are unnecessary. No hoses, no pipes, and no hydraulic tanks.
This underrun protection is also user-friendly for the driver. Operation is simple, and a light in the cab shows the position of the bar. An extendable rear bumper is often used on tippers and container handling systems. The Pommier E-Xpand is available in 13 versions and four extension lengths, from 400 to 1100 mm. For the bumper bar itself, there is a choice of two steel and two aluminium profiles: round, rectangular, or U-shaped. The U-variant can be equipped with rear light units if desired. The round bar is frequently chosen for tippers because less sand accumulates on it.
All steel parts are rust-resistant pre-treated and powder-coated. Aluminium parts are anodized. Additionally, it is possible to retrofit an existing hydraulic version to the electric variant.
