Webfleet, a provider of fleet management systems, is launching a new driver assistance system powered by artificial intelligence. This smart assistance system comes from Peregrine.ai, a specialist in AI systems for logistics. The intelligent upgrade will be offered to customers as a paid option. It is currently being tested with several Webfleet users.
With the AI upgrade, Webfleet Video can do more than just record the road: it also understands the driving context. In addition to existing AI capabilities, the system can also detect hazards such as running red lights, bad weather, slippery roads, and size or weight restrictions. Visual Intelligence also converts video footage into understandable information for drivers and fleet managers. Drivers receive immediate warnings in potentially dangerous situations, and fleet managers can view reports afterward.
