MAN eTGM — electrically powered 4×2 chassis — gross payload max. 10.6 tonnes — range 240-480 km.
From mid-2026, MAN will offer the TGM as an electrically powered chassis with a GVW (maximum permissible weight) of either 16.01 or (at an additional cost) 16.5 tonnes. In the lightest configuration (two battery packs, range approx. 240 km), the gross payload is approximately 10.6 tonnes. When using four battery packs (the maximum for this chassis), the payload is lower, but the range is then approximately 480 km. The MAN eTGM is permitted to tow a trailer with a maximum total weight of approximately 17 tonnes.
The eTGM is powered by the MAN eCD210 electric drive, which delivers 210 kW (285 hp) of power and a maximum torque of 800 Nm. The engine is coupled to the MAN TipMatic 2, an automated transmission.
Electrical energy recuperation takes place during braking, which slightly recharges the batteries.
The eTGM is available in various lengths, provided they are compatible with the chassis space required for battery mounting.
During the development of the eTGM, MAN took the needs of bodybuilders into account. Body-friendly interfaces, various available wheelbases, and (as a paid option) the presence of a mechanical PTO (mPTO) make it possible to mount standard series bodywork without complex modifications.
