With the compact XB for urban and regional deliveries, the mid-size XD, and the XF and XG series, DAF offers different chassis for almost any distribution task. This positions DAF as a partner for freight forwarders and transport companies that rely on tailored solutions for distribution transport.
DAF XB
The smallest series in the DAF portfolio, the XB, is available in the 7.49 t, 12 t, 16 t, and 18 t weight classes and is suitable for urban and regional applications. The diesel variants are powered by the PACCAR PX-5 and PX-7 engines with outputs ranging from 170 to 310 hp. Combined with the powertrain and the PowerLine automatic transmission, this ensures a

high level of driving comfort. The range is complemented by fully electric variants with 120 or 190 kW. With a steering angle of 53 degrees, the XB is agile and therefore ideally suited for narrow streets. Its compact size and relatively low weight further enhance its versatility. The XB also offers flexibility in terms of body options: its 50-millimeter hole pattern makes it a body-friendly chassis for a variety of applications.
A wide selection of wheelbases, as well as various roof spoiler and side fender options, further improve the vehicle’s aerodynamics. Since 2025, DAF has also offered a standard PACCAR dry freight box body for the 12-tonne GVW XB as a factory option.
DAF XD
The DAF XD – available with either diesel or fully electric powertrains – is also designed as a distribution chassis for a wide range of applications. Its robust construction, reliability, and modern technology make it a versatile solution for urban and regional transport tasks. The XD particularly shines in everyday use thanks to its short wheelbase, 49-degree steering angle, excellent visibility, and ease of body mounting with its 50-millimeter hole pattern and plug-and-play interfaces.

A large windshield, a low beltline, large side windows with low frame height, and an optional curb view window on the passenger side enhance all-around visibility. DAF Corner View technology provides additional safety, offering a 270-degree view around the cab.
The newly developed cab sits lower on the chassis than the previous CF model and, thanks to its low entry height, allows for easy entry and exit via just two steps. With a volume of 6.3 to 9.53 mÂł, it also offers ample space and freedom of movement. Extensive adjustment options for the seat and steering wheel support an ergonomic driving position.
A particularly attractive option for transport companies in the XD series is the configuration with the PACCAR PX-7 engine and the PowerLine transmission, available with 230 to 310 hp. The advantage lies in the 500 kg higher payload compared to the configuration with the PACCAR MX-11 engine and the TraXon transmission.
DAF XF / XG
The long-haul XF and XG models are also suitable for distribution transport. With the newly designed,

next-generation DAF cab, they offer a spacious interior with a high level of comfort. Depending on the model, the cab volume of the XF ranges from 6.35 to 9.73 mÂł, while the XG+ offers up to 12.5 mÂł. Additional features such as a refrigerator or a pull-out work table further enhance comfort in daily use. The DAF XF / XG chassis is not recommended for daily use in narrow city alleys.
