Deutsche Bahn AG chooses Altas Auto as supplier for small EV buses, diesel-powered minibus

Deutsche Bahn AG has selected the Lithuanian bus manufacturer Altas Auto as one of its suppliers for diesel and electric buses. This collaboration, spanning four years until 2028, includes urban bus models, three of which are electric.

The agreement covers the diesel-powered Mercedes-Benz Cityline minibus, and three electric models: the Altas Novus City V7, the larger Altas Novus City N8, and the Altas Novus Cityline LW.

The Mercedes-Benz Cityline, a diesel-powered minibus, has established itself as one of Altas Auto’s most popular products.

Electric models like the Altas Novus City V7 and Altas Novus Cityline LW, although similar in size, cater to slightly different needs. The Cityline LW, with its range of 300 kilometers, is a choice for those seeking a maneuverable, cost-efficient solution for narrow city streets without the need for high passenger capacity. City V7, designed for greater resilience and strength, is better suited for situations requiring higher passenger capacity and more demanding conditions.

The Altas Novus City N8, a significantly larger electric bus with a capacity of up to 55 passengers, is eligable for managing heavy passenger traffic during peak hours.
