Lamberet LVFS3 — Carrier E-Cool — with SAF dynamo axle. Electric refrigerated trailer equipped with dynamo on the axle, loading capacity 31.2 tons.
Lamberet refrigerated/freezer trailer, used by Adri & Zoon bv in Yerseke (the Netherlands) for the distribution of fish products. Equipped with an electric Carrier E-Cool cooling engine and a battery pack under the chassis. The battery is charged by a special SAF axle with an attached dynamo. Furthermore, a solar panel has been placed on the roof that provides the power supply for the telematics.
During the development of this trailer, a lot of attention was paid to energy efficiency. The specially developed roof and the thicker side walls, the automatic roller door and the air curtain ensure a high insulation value. By means of a partition it is possible to drive multi-temp in an energy-efficient way.
Adri & Zoon reports saving 4000 euros per year on diesel costs, because the cooling engine does not consume fuel. It is not known how much extra the tractor consumes to pull the dynamo axle to charge the battery. The trailer is of course not emission-free as a result, like the fishtrader claims.
