The Renault Trucks E-Tech C is a chassis that is suitable for demanding applications in urban areas (such as material distribution, delivery of raw materials and road maintenance). The most striking feature is that the diesel engine has been replaced by a fully electric drive, and various battery packs. With the C E-Tech, a reduction in CO2 emissions of approximately 90% can be achieved over the life of the truck.
Depending on the number of batteries, a range of 300 km is possible, and with one hour of intermediate charging (250 kW) this becomes 500 km. According to the manufacturer, the average energy consumption is 1 to 1.6 kWh/km.
In addition to a DC 250 kW fast charger, it is also possible to charge the vehicle with AC (22-43 kW) overnight, the charger for this is located in the truck.
For the driver, the C E-Tech is an extremely comfortable truck that is equipped with every conceivable information and assistance system. Including: multifunctional display with touchscreen, digital and adjustable dashboard, USB-C connection, starting with a start button, OptiDriver automatic gearbox, adjustable steering column, cameras and radars around the vehicle, fatigue detection, lane departure warning, automatic emergency stop system, hill start assistance, automatic windscreen wipers, tire pressure monitoring system, doorlock, speed assistance. With a DriverApp on the mobile phone, it also has a remote alarm, status monitoring, cabin preheating and burglary warning.
This Renault C can be linked to a monitoring system by the owner so that a lot of information is visible in the office, including speed, location, battery charge level (OptiFleet Map). This can be expanded with OptiFleet Mission: route planning, planning of charging stops, route restrictions. The planned routes can be shown on the driver’s display.
Renault Trucks offers its customers support for the use of the E-Tech trucks, including: maintenance, repairs, assistance with problems on the road, data support, planning of garage visits, usage reporting, installation of charging stations, financing and subsidy applications. The battery packs are guaranteed for their lifespan.
This 6×2 chassis is available in wheelbases of 390, 410, 430, 460, 480, 490, 520, 560 and 600 cm, with day cab or long cab. Choose from 4, 5 or 6 battery packs and 2 or 3 drive motors. Also as 4×2 chassis, with wheelbase 410, 430, 460, 490, 520, 560, 600, 650, 670 cm. And as 8×4 chassis with wheelbase 390, 410, 430, 460, 490 or 520 cm. Also available as 4×2 or 6×2 tractor (5 or 6 batteries, only with long cabin).
