Ford Transit City L1H1 Electric 111kW. Electric delivery van, load length approx. 260 cm, range 254 km.
A simple electric delivery van from the Chinese manufacturer JMC is sold in Europe under the designation Ford Transit City. The vehicle is intended as a cheap alternative to the often more expensive European electric delivery vans. The dimensions are roughly the same as those of a Ford e-Transit Custom L1, but the Transit City has less power, less comfort, a lower driving range, and is not allowed to tow a trailer. However, there is a high demand for cheap electric delivery vans, which is why Ford believes it has a strong selling point with this van.
The Ford Transit City features an LFP battery with a capacity of 56 kWh, normally good for a range of 254 km. And the battery can be recharged during the day: at a fast charger with a maximum of 87 kW, it can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 33 minutes. With a ten-minute coffee break, enough power for 50 km can be added. At an 11 kW shore power socket, charging from 10 to 80 percent takes approximately 4.5 hours.
In addition to the L1H1, the Transit City is available as the L2H2 and as a chassis cab.
