Renault Trucks E-Tech Trafic L1 / L2 – electric van, load length 258 / 298 cm

Renault Trucks E-Tech Trafic L1 / L2. Electric van, load length 258 / 298 cm, maximum payload 1300 kg, range of 350 or 470 km.

The E-Tech Trafic is the first van from Renault Trucks developed entirely as an “e-van.” The vehicle is built on a modular “skateboard” platform, which allows for the optimal placement of various components. This is evident, for instance, in the motor positioned near the rear wheels, the low-mounted batteries, and the short front overhang, which results in a very tight turning radius. Furthermore, thanks to its Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) architecture, various functions can be updated remotely and continuously improved throughout the vehicle’s entire lifespan.

Behind the wheel, it is clear that a new era has arrived: the vehicle features a fully digital dashboard, wireless phone charging, and a display screen equipped with apps—including an internet browser and voice control. You can even run your own company’s software on this screen, effectively turning the E-Tech Trafic into a mobile workstation.

The battery is located beneath the load floor and is available in two capacities: 60 kWh (offering a 350 km range) or 81 kWh (offering a 470 km range). Thanks to an 800V electrical architecture, the battery pack can be charged from 15% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes using a DC fast charger—adding up to 280 kilometers of additional range in that time.

This van is suitable for loading Euro-pallets: the load width is 135 cm (130 cm between the rear wheel arches). The side door has an opening width of 96 cm, allowing a pallet to be loaded from that side as well. The L1 version accommodates two Euro-pallets, while the L2 version holds three. There is a 40 cm difference in length between the L1 and L2 models. The E-Tech Trafic will also be available as a platform cab. H2 (high-roof) versions will not be offered (for the time being).

The Renault Trucks E-Tech Trafic is fully connected to the dealer network, continuously transmitting data required for a dynamic maintenance plan. This allows maintenance intervals to be tailored to the vehicle’s actual usage. It comes with a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, which can be combined with maintenance contracts, financing, and insurance options.

When transitioning to electric transport, customers can rely on the expertise of Renault Trucks’ electromobility specialists. They assist companies in analyzing their transport operations, using analytical tools to identify specific needs, usage patterns, and operational challenges in order to determine the most suitable solution for the customer.
