Deepway is a Chinese manufacturer of electric trucks, founded in 2020 and in production since 2023. From 2027, DeepStar also aims to sell in Europe and is currently seeking local partners for this purpose. This Deepway Star, intended for long-distance transport, will be presented in Hanover in September 2026.
The Star is a tractor with a torpedo front and two electric-powered axles. Both the axles and the battery were developed in-house by Deepway. Deepway’s goal is to build 80,000 trucks annually by 2030 for global sales. The purchase price is said to be approximately 30% above the price of a diesel truck, making it relatively inexpensive.
Furthermore, Deepway is developing an autonomously driving truck, designated as RoboTruck. In China, licenses for use on public roads have already been obtained for this. The goal is to build approximately 3,000 autonomous trucks by 2030.
For the European market, Deepway also has a version with front steering: the Deepway Starway.
