This 3-axle steel tipper from Kässbohrer has an unladen weight of approximately 6,155 kg and a payload capacity of over 32.8 tonnes, with a maximum loading volume of 27 m³. Thanks to a fifth-wheel load of 12,000 kg, a low centre of gravity, and an optimised superstructure, the design ensures ideal weight distribution and maximum traction. The half-pipe body facilitates fast, uninterrupted unloading, while the high-capacity, five-stage hydraulic cylinder ensures a precise and efficient discharge process.
The chassis is constructed from S700MC steel, combined with a body made from high-quality HB450 or TUF500 steel.
Designed for use with 4×2, 6×2, and 6×4 tractor units, the K.SKS B offers a stable and safe unloading experience, supported by features such as ‘Unloading Level’ (level control during discharge), a safety brake, a tipping warning system, and a ‘one-touch’ asphalt brake.
The vehicle shown in the photograph is equipped with a self-steering axle—a new option within Kässbohrer’s 3-axle tipper range that enhances manoeuvrability on construction sites and in areas with limited space. In addition, the vehicle featured a system that is now standard on all 3-axle tippers from Kässbohrer: an automatically retractable bumper operated via remote control, which significantly speeds up the preparation for unloading.
