Kässbohrer has thoroughly revamped its K.SLL.P. The result is a top-quality low loader with a suspension travel of 60 cm and a maximum articulation of 60 degrees, making this trailer highly maneuverable. The pendulum axles were developed in-house by Kässbohrer and extensively tested on an outdoor test track. Furthermore, durability, torsional stiffness, load distribution, and stability were tested over a million kilometers.
The K.SLL.P 2 is intended for the transport of large objects such as construction machinery, silos, and structural elements. The loading platform height above the road surface is 35 cm and the ground clearance is 10 cm in the lowest driving position. The gooseneck of this trailer can be uncoupled within five minutes for front loading. The lowbed extends by a maximum of 555 cm, to a maximum load length of 1230 cm.
The maximum axle load is 12 tonnes per axle, and the kingpin capacity is 18 tonnes. The GVW is therefore 42 tonnes, and with a tare weight of approximately 13.5 tonnes, the net payload is about 28.5 tonnes. The SLL can be driven with a standard three-axle tractor (6×2 or 6×4) as the coupling height is 125 cm. The width of the vehicle is 254 cm; however, this can be widened by 2 x 22.5 cm.
Standard features on this low loader are 8×2 lashing eyes of 13.4 tonnes, 3×2 of 10 tonnes, and 4×2 of 8 tonnes, which are neatly concealed on the side. Optionally, additional 13.4-ton lashing eyes built into the floor are available. Container locks for 40 ft or 2 x 20 ft container loads are also optional. Further options include: central lubrication, wireless remote control for the rear axles, a support frame for the loading platform, and front loading ramps. A metallization paint treatment is also available, providing even better corrosion protection.
The frame is made of high-strength S700MC steel, and the SLL comes standard with a Wabco EBS braking system, anti-lock braking system, rollover stability control (RSS), and tire pressure monitoring.
