E-Lions H2 – Coxx – Den Hartog-Est — eCrafter H2 — low chassis. Van chassis, hydrogen drive, low chassis.
Van chassis with low chassis frame and hydrogen drive. The vehicle is derived from a front-wheel drive Volkswagen eCrafter, equipped with a low-frame chassis by Coxx Mobile Systems and a Toyota fuel cell by E-Lions H2. The vehicle in the drawing (which will be introduced in September) features a road worker body by Hartog-Est.
This vehicle refuels with liquid hydrogen, which is stored in a tank behind the cab. The hydrogen is converted into electricity while driving (a so-called fuel cell).
The advantage of the H2 is that refueling takes only 10 minutes. With a full tank, the range is 450 km. The load floor is only 57 cm high. A high chassis is also available where the cargo bed is positioned above the wheels (load floor height 76 cm – see drawing). The GVW of this car is 4250 kg (B driving licence) and it can tow a trailer up to 3500 kg.
